Ambrosia and Nectar, Oia, Santorini, Greece

This was one of the most divine experiences we ever had. This tiny restaurant was stylish and romantic. But above all things, the food was simply amazing. It is on the expensive side even for Santorini, but it is totally worth it.

Gramercy Tavern, New York City, USA

One of the most elegant restaurants in New York, this place will amaze. Everything is perfect – the food, the impeccable service, the atmosphere.

Aquavit, New York City, USA *

The asterisk is the saddest part. Aquavit was one of the most amazing dining experiences we have ever had, great food combined with an incredible atmosphere – underground in an old Rockefeller apartment with a huge waterfall as a backdrop. Sadly the place has moved to new digs which are nowhere near as impressive. But the food is still pretty good.

Espai Sucre, Barcelona, Spain

If you have a sweet tooth, then this restaurant is heaven on earth. Perhaps the world’s only restaurant that offers a menu made up entirely of desserts, it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Somehow, you never get sick of all the sweets. The creations are inventive and perfectly proportioned. And with classy decor and excellent service, it is guaranteed to be a night to remember.

Asiate, New York City, USA

The location of this sophisticated restaurant makes this place, high up in the AOL Towers by Columbus Circle, overlooking Central Park. And the food, a fusion of Japanese and French, is superb.

Tunupa Restaurant, Sacred Valley, Peru

This is one of the best buffets we have ever been to, and was a perfect stop on our tour through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Through a small dusty road, you arrive at a lodge sitting on the banks of the Urubamba river. Sitting in the backyard garden or patio, overlooking a beautiful garden, grazing horses and a cool river, you can enjoy a feast of traditional Peruvian dishes and international cuisine. The food is great and the setting is spectacular.
