About Me

On the Franz Josef Glacier

Demerzel’s Echoes is my second attempt at a personal blog. Demerzel is the persona that my favorite literary character of all time, R.Daneel Olivaw, takes in order to unobstrusively safeguard the fate of humanity (in Asimov’s Foundation series). His clarity of thought is what I try to bring to everything that I do. Not that I claim to be doing anything nearly as important. He is just a great character.

In the real world I make my home in Jersey City, on the Hudson river, in a sweet apartment with a great view of my favorite place in the world – New York City. I live with my wife Tanu, to who I have been happily married since Y2K. I spend a good portion of my life in the tech world, as Architect for Identity Management products at Oracle Corp, and have a work blog at Talking Identity.

When I am not working, I spend my time doing all sorts of things that intrigue and excite me. New York City is a great place to live when you want to try and experience as much as you can. Above all, I have been lucky enough to be able to combine my favorite hobbies – travelling, photography and creative web design – into a major part of my life that Tanu and I have been able to enjoy together.

Well, enough about all that. Feel free to read my blog here, or pop on over to our web site @ nishantkaushik.com, where I have photographs from all aspects of our life – our travels, our families, our friends, and everything around that.
